Connecting and learning in the classroom can be very difficult at times. With a variety of learning disabilities, most of the individuals at Creative Enterprises cannot keep all the information we teach during our classes. Due to the difficulties of learning new information, we try to make our courses as engaging and interactive as possible to help the people learn.
Today we had meteorologist Jennifer Narramore conduct a weather class via Skype, all the way from Ohio! This is an excellent way for our individuals to learn from a familiar person–Jennifer did our weather classes in person when she lived in Georgia, and many of our clients were very happy to see her familiar face.
Since it’s the first day of summer, Jennifer talked about the summer solstice and satellite technology. She talked about hot Georgia weather, ways for people and their pets to stay safe and cool, heat index, humidity, and how to tell the temperature by using satellite imaging and radar.
We’re very happy to have Jennifer teaching weather classes again. If you are interested in teaching a class, please contact us for more information.
